Re: Heat damaged cat w/o melting substrate?
Hi Don -- For the cat to function the honeycomb must fill the whole housing, or you get bypass exhaust! So if the honeycomb turned there must of been heat damage. You may not see melting, but an actual loss of the outer layers. Note I did drop a cat once prior... Login to read more. ![]()
