Hi-Donald I suspect this cat has a air tube midway, if rear section failed, it's because an upper/downstream air problem. Very common to ford rangers. The cat-honeycom cannot turn unless damaged by heat. Also excessive rich mixture or misfire combined with air... Login to read more.
