I am not so familiar with Toyota systems, but domestic ETC's are usually triple redundant. If one leg of the sensor fails, the MIL comes on. If 2 fail, power is REDUCED. After consulting the wiring diagram, it looks like Toyota systems have 2 channels. Perhaps... Login to read more.
