California gasoline has been oxygenated with about 5.5%-7% ethanol for several years now, since MTBE was phased out. We pay more for our gasoline because (we are told) it is "specially formulated", i.e. blended with ethanol to burn cleaner. Hmmmmmmm.... and ye... Login to read more.
