I've seen sludge, but never scale. I've also seen rust from water inside caliper bores.

The worst was my '74 Yamaha RD350 when I began restoring it in 2009. Fluid could've been OE for all I know. It was BAD! Not one part of it was a liquid anymore. Login to read more.
