I can tell you there are 4 to 5 passenger diesels in Europe that get 90 MPG+ (imperial), it ain't BS. As far as durability, factor in many of the European countries have roads with much higher (some unlimited) posted maximum speeds. These cars last 400 000km+... Login to read more.
