While this may not be exact repair for 4401 but might give you idea. I made a tool for this repair on BW1356 t cases. Had 3/4 drill machined to 5/8 at end to make about 1 1/2 " pilot. The shift shaft was 5/8. Drill out hole in case. Did not need to be PERFECTL... Login to read more.
