99 Taurus 4X4N 3.0 DOHC stalls when place in gear

Hi All

I have a 99 Taurus 3.0 DOHC AX4N with 88,000 miles on it. It will stall when placed in gear. It acts like the TCC is not releasing.

I scanned it with two diffrent scanners -- NO codes found.
