I agree with the math. In fact, many ATF's have a coefficient of thermal expansion of 0.0004/degree F. For example, if an automatic transmission holds 10 qts of ATF and the temperature of the fluid rises 20F, the fluid volume will expand 0.08 quarts (2.56 oz) ... Login to read more.
