shift bang/timing under moderate/heavy accel
Posted to Transmission Forum on 1/8/2026

Truck came in with DTCs p0701, p0741, p0743, p0757, p0963, p1744, p2701, p2704 It would bang on moderate/heavy acceleration 1-2 shift and forced downshift to 4th then go into limp mode. Normal driving no issues except a little long 2nd gear shift (not noticeable if not paying attention). Removed Transmission and rebuilt including conductor plate, reman valve body, torque converter, and used PCM. Did not see cause of issue. The shift timing/bang issue is consistent under certain acceleration. The DTCs that set after issue are p0757 (shift B stuck on) and p2701 (trans friction element B apply range/performance. If driven longer after restart and normal acceleration these DTCs will also set p741 (tcc) p0757 (shift b) p1744 (tcc circuit performance) p2701 (element B). ohmed wires and solenoids. We've had transmission out multiple times trying different things and nothing has changed the performance. everything is exactly the same. Please Help
