The hair-like wire on the solenoid is connected to either a terminal or a pigtail lead. That junction is wrapped under the outer wrap of the solenoid. Unwrapping the solenoid, may reveal the junction enough to allow reworking it. Without seeing it, I’m just go... Login to read more.
