Gene, Any time you get a code 1870 DO NOT be so quick to condemn the VB. I'm not sure of the year but there was a change in the way the TCM reads the IP & OP speed signals. A slipping band, 3-4 clutch, etc can cause a 1870. Check it like this: Put it in manual... Login to read more.
