Well this is fixed. I actually had a 96 S90 come in & was able to pull some known good waveforms (slightly different system but similar enough)- VSS should be a normal 0-12V squarewave. I cut the VSS circuit on my 93- this put the TCM into backup mode- shifts ... Login to read more.
