Bobby, i think you are confusing his post about a Freestyle which does indeed come with a CVT vs that of a Freestar (aka Windstar platform) that has a 4F50N transmission. The splines you speak of stripping out in the 4F50N were indeed big problems. Why ford on... Login to read more.
