It defaults to 5th gear not 2nd. 5th is E-clutch, the smallest clutch in the trans. If the owner has driven any significant miles when the trans was in limp he's probably damaged E-clutch. Being a friends I would start with a solenoid kit and a separator plate... Login to read more.
