Back when I worked for Cowboy Cab in Dallas, the boss had an '81 300D that happened to. We pulled it out and welded it. My memory on it is a bit fuzzy, but I seem to remember shimming it to get the ring dead on center before welding it. Worked like a charm. Login to read more.
