I've got a 42RE out of a 95 Grand Cherokee here, lots of aluminum in pan. On teardown I expected to see something obvious, but it's not there. I found my front and rear planetaries are coming apart along with a chipped sun gear but thats all steel. Any suggest... Login to read more.
