A little update here. I acquired a tcm from a 2003 GC with the 4.7 and installed it. Absolutely no problems whatsoever and the Dakota now has 5 forward speeds. It dropped the rpms on the freeway by about 300-400 rpms and the customer is reporting a 2 mpg gain.... Login to read more.
