A 2000 E250 van with a 5.4 V8 has a knock in the bell housing area. It occurs @1500 rpm only, in gear or park. The converter nuts were tight, so I loosened them to see if the noise changed- the knock went away. Easy: cracked flexplate-right? Wrong, I pulled it... Login to read more.
