this is a 722.3 type trans [ common ] it does take off in 1 st gear .had another 95 same car , and it takes off in 1 st gear .the earlier models did start in 2 nd .if you go gently , on a good car , it takes off in 1 st , and at about 8 mph , it will go into 2... Login to read more.
