Pretty much if the soleniod checks out, the wiring is ok and the ecm is capable of commanding the soleniod then the fault does lie in the sensing circuit of the ecm. I'm with you on condemning the ecm, they fail so infrequently it makes a tech gun shy to do it... Login to read more.
