Know it's an old thread, but interesting! It seems that the mainshaft speed closely follows vehicle speed in 3rd gear. Upon the acceleration, the mainshaft and vehicle speeds match again-this would indicate a gear ratio similar to 3rd. The mainshaft then stops... Login to read more.
