Glenn,

Something fundamental that needs to be kept in mind, the P1870 code is NOT a TCC slip code. The definition is "Transmission component slipping". The 4L60E computer CANNOT differentiate between a 4'th gear slip and a TCC slip and will set the same code... Login to read more.
