You are correct & my memory obviously faulty ! So, remind me about the strength of that stock pinion in the 8" IIRC, even the small cars with hot cams in 289's had to be careful of launch rpm. Also, was the 8" ever supplied as a full floater in a truck ? ... Login to read more.
