I've ran into the same situation twice on the newer Chev/Gmc trucks with the 4.8 and 5.3 engines. Noise on acceleration,sounds almost like a bad u-joint. Thankfully I ran into it years ago on an old Ford and it schooled me at the time. Login to read more.
