2011 Chevrolet Traverse trailer wiring
Posted to Technical Tips Forum on 6/7/2017

For anyone looking to add factory trailer wiring to factory receiver hitch on this non-trailer tow package cross-over vehicle, you can install the wiring harness onto connector hidden up in right rear compartment behind right rear tire, add the 7-way trailer connector onto hitch and install a new or used underhood fuse box designed for trailer tow option and the trailer lights will work as if the vehicle came equipped with the trailer tow option. If you do everything but fuse box you will still not be able to get operational running, stop lamps or turnsignals at trailer connector. The non-trailer tow optioned fuse box in 2010 and 2011 has no terminals in the relay positions or fuse positions to just install the relays and fuses alone. Newer models allow you to do this without changing the fuse box.
