Had a WRX in my shop for an abs and vss code. Had a wheel speed sensor code for left front and a P0500 for vehicle speed sensor code. Checked left sensor found open circuit and replaced it with a factory part. ABS light and Wheel sensor code was gone but still had the P0500 code that would come right back after clearing. Let the car sit over the weekend and code went away on it's own. Drove it this morning and all is well. Hope this will help
