Just learned a new trick to Resolve Oil Soaked Filter Straps - My 2 Inch wide Snap On Strap was oil soaked , I placed it in a Plastic Bag and dumped a good amount of Baby Powder with Corn Starch into Bag. Put bag Out in Sunny area. It took about an hour but I removed Strap from bag and then washed off Baby Powder with warm water . Oil was removed from strap and the Grip was returned. Learned this from My wife - she did a Google Search>
