Try this:

Get a 1/8" wide slot, cabinet style screwdriver, and tap (hammer) the blade into the crack between the cap and hub. Pull it back out, and then pry the cap off using the access slot you just created. Get a Dollar Store screwdriver, if you... Login to read more.
