Ditto that. While I was doing a set of head gaskets on a Subaru recently, I noticed that with the crank sprocket on the proper mark, all 4 pistons were halfway down their bores. Keeps the valves from hitting in case the camshaft gets bumped and springs around.... Login to read more.
