99% of the time if a stud is broken within a 1/4" below the surface, I center a larger nut, say a 5/8 or 1/2" nut over a 3/8" stud. I center a mig gun, so the wire is shooting straight. The bond starts in the center, then works out where you plug weld the nut ... Login to read more.
