Robert, a 10 meg. input impedance volt meter across 12 volt draws 1.2 micro amps (I = E/R). A very good amount of resistance could be in the circuit and you could easily read just about 12 volts. So, obviously, in and of itself, this volt meter reading is mean... Login to read more.
