Ford has a TSB with sticking fuel level float to add 2 bottles of ford labeled techron product to fix issue.

So yes I have heard of it and it works. Just an FYI the counter stuff is nowhere as strong as the pro stuff, amount of techron, so keep to the pro on... Login to read more.
