I had this problem before. Try avoiding any Citrus based cleaner,as it seems very rough on the hands. Most pumice cleaners are hard on the skin also. I prefer a lanolin based soap like one of the Permatex creams without pumice(I can get a part number tomorrow... Login to read more.
