This might be obvious to some or most of us, but could save somebody a little time and aggravation. You are trying to replace the low coolant sensor on a 97-05 or so GM W-body (Century, Regal, Grand Prix, Intrigue, Impala, Monte Carlo, etc) Looks like this:
