Saw the same type alt. pulley on my girlfriend's 2000 Intrigue w/3.5 DOHC engine. I was told the pulley allows the alt. to take less abuse from rapid speed changes,etc. I have a feeling maybe it could be related to misfire detection also, not sure. I was told ... Login to read more.
