Hi Bob -- I suspect that the extra heat, is causing premature failure of the heater core.. Years ago heater cores / thermostat temps averaged 160 to 180 degrees. Note with a thermostat of 195 and a engine running temp with new radiator averaging 205 degrees th... Login to read more.
