Early (all the linkage shift) vw watercooled that used the 020 gearbox use 9mm bolts to replace the stock ring gear rivets after diff service. Thats the only time I've ever seen them, I'm sure there are more. Ohh....and for 7mm bolts, the rear main bearing ret... Login to read more.
