Hi Patrick. As far as I'm concerned, this is a "back yard" DIY method for people too lazy or not knowledgeable enough to replace the belt and properly inspect and adjust the belt tensioner (and idler systems where used). It is akin to rolling on timing chains ... Login to read more.
