That's 10 psi across the filter, not system pressure. You'll get that 10 psi if the filter is dirty, the oil is thick and/or cold. I would suspect that most if not all cars will put the filter into bypass if started below 40 or 50F. Maybe they even bypass at h... Login to read more.
