Sounds like you found a secondary cause for P0420; I haven't had one yet that wasn't a failed CAT. The O2 monitor should switch much slower than the Oxygen sensor, sometimes so slow you would think something else was wrong, which is how the PCM detects cat eff... Login to read more.
