I am unhappy with your resistor. 10 ohms across 13v is 1.3 amps. 1.3 amps of 13 volts is 16.9 watts on a 10 watt resistor. With good air flow the 10 watt will stand 10 amps for quite a while. With impaired flow, it will not stand the present load long. ... Login to read more.
