Yup, my Saturn burns 1 qt. per 1,000 miles and I have to use 89 octane minimum or it pings like crazy. If I do a piston cleaning, it can be run on 87 for a while before it comes back. Stuck rings I guess. This is with 3,000 miles oil changes with 5W30. Nice de... Login to read more.
