I don't know if I have seen a melted cat caused by crappy fuel. Have seen a bunch of other issues but usually if the fuel is bad enough to cause a miss it is too poor to hurt a cat. In other words, if it won't fire in the cylinder, why would it fire in the cat... Login to read more.
