I agree completely. I seem to recall that the cold spec for ballast resistors and resistance wires being 1.5 - 2 ohms on 12-v systems. Perhaps a bit less for fixed-dwell electronic ignition due to the junction voltage drop of the switching transistor, dependin... Login to read more.
