Re: Why do some diesels have throttle plates?
G'day Rob, there are several reasons Diesels have throttle
plates. Some early type Diesel engines are equipped with
pneumatic governors the TP creates a manifold pressure
signal to operate the injection pump governor diaphragm. ![]()
