Re: Can you calculate engine rpm with a scope ?
Posted to Technical Theory Forum on 9/1/2017

So, similar to calculating a fuel pump speed, we take

(60,000 msec / X msec for a cycle of the engine) X 2 = RPM

In Lectric Lou's example of .15 seconds:

(60,000/150)2= 800 rpm

*There are 60 seconds in a minute and 1000 msecs in one second Login to read more.
