Re: Pinion preload on a GM 7.6' differential
Closer to 30 in lbs is the better spec. Note the indented hole on both ends of the pinion ,get a long blunt punch and give the pinion a moderate hammer tap, both ends,this will settle the bearings and then recheck and reset if necessary. Failing to do this you... Login to read more. ![]()
