Pinion preload on a GM 7.6' differential
Got a few conflicting specs on a differential I am putting
new bearings into. It is a 97 Jimmy with a 7.6" ring gear.
Mitch says 20-25 in pounds on the pinion preload with new
bearings, most others tell me 12 to 15 inch pounds on the
new bearings. ![]()
