Fuel Pressure is [according to my new Mac gauge] is 10 psi at 2000RPM and 8 PSI at idle.

This sounds pretty high for a stock Q-jet, however , the gauge I am using starts at 5 PSI and goes to 145, so I believe it is inaccurate at this range.
